Nepal is known as a paradise and best destination for trekkers in the world, as it has some of the most spectacular, exciting and breathtaking routes for trekking in the country and it is also the home of the majestic Himalayas. Nepal is blessed with eight the highest mountains, including Mt. Everest, (the highest mountain on earth), out of the 14-highest mountains above 8,000 meters in the world, namely, Mt. Everest (8848 m), Mt. Kanchenjunga (8586 m), Mt. Lhotse (8516 m), Mt. Makalu (8483 m), Mt. Cho Oyu (8201 m), Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167 m), Mt. Manaslu (8163 m), and Mt. Annapurna (8091 m) and also there are over 1,300 snow capped peaks above 6,000 meters, where it is possible to make summit, however the government has so far opened up only about 400 peaks for the climbing purpose, including Mt. Everest.
